The Virginia Foundation for Community College Education (VFCCE) has partnered with HCM Strategists, with guidance and counsel provided by Generation Hope, to launch a new initiative, College Attainment for Parent Students (CAPS).

Membership Benefits
Twenty (20) students from Germanna Community College are selected each semester (fall, spring, and summer) to join the CAPS Cohort.

As a CAPS cohort member, each student parent will receive a $2,000 stipend per term to use towards child care and/or parenting expenses. Additionally, cohort members have access to CAPS emergency funding, receive one-on-one coaching from the CAPS Coach, Dr. Hope Murphy, and are invited to workshops, activities, and events designed for student parents.
