The purpose of this club is to provide basic training, and self-defense techniques using scientific street fighting also known as Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do. Sharpening one's awareness for situations such as surprise attacks, being grabbed, and from unarmed/armed assailants.

The Virginia Foundation for Community College Education (VFCCE) has partnered with HCM Strategists, with guidance and counsel provided by Generation Hope, to launch a new initiative, College Attainment for Parent Students (CAPS).

Twenty (20) students from Germanna Community College are selected each semester (fall, spring, and summer) to join the CAPS Cohort.

As a CAPS cohort member, each student parent will receive a $2,000 stipend per term to use towards child care and/or parenting expenses.
